I just strated a home business, and had someone set up a website for me. However, I am disappointed about how it looks. I think I have a certain expection.... I have already paid the personmoney up front.....Bad idea!!! smileys/smiley19.gif


I spent like two hours last night trying to find out how I can add and change the content or links on my site---well, I am not very productive since I have NO EXPERIENCE in html or java, or whatever you call it!!! Very frustrated as you may tell!!! smileys/smiley11.gif


I am asking if any of you don't mind teaching me how to write all those codes so my site will look what I want it to look like. Here is what I can provide as "pay"....I really don't have much fund for this since I have already spend it to this person.... I am willing to exchange the products I am sellingwith your services.

Could you post a link to your site?

Did you let your designer know you didn't care for the design? Did you have a choice during the design process? They might be willing to fix it up how you want it.

That's my question too. Did you let your designer know? They "should" be willing to work with you and fix things to your satisfaction.

I will be talking with my friend tonight. She referred me to this person. I emailed the person who did the site for me, but she has not replied my message.


She didn't give me the chance to look at and ok it before it was up. So when I saw it, I was like #$%%^&**


I tried to do some changes based on whatI can figure out how last night, and I thought I have done it, but this morning, when I log on, the changes I made yesterday were not there.... not sure why, but REALLY frustrated!!! I have NO experience at all at this!!!


I want to advertise my business as soon as possibile, but with this not being done the way I expect, I am just really frustrated...on top of no income coming in. I really need to get this going.


I don't even know if it is possible to do any changes now the site is up, and like I said in my first post, I have sepnt some money on this, don't know if I could afford any more. This is very embarrasing for me toBEG and ask for help. I am willing to trade the products I am selling with you, and give you referral to my business associates.

From what I can see it is a template you chose that already had the text placed. It wasn't a custom design. You got it from here right? LINK (http://www.onlinecandleclub.com/sites.html)
Too me it just looks like a template that a bunch of people use. Doesn't look like they are willing to do too much customization.

I do not think you can do anything about it hon. I am sorry! Can you get your money back for the site? And then maybe find someone that can design another site for you.

It says on her site that you would be choosing from one of 6 templates,
did you sign a contract with her before she started work? If so,
refer to that and see if she specified template or original
design. If it says template, no, there's nothing you can do.



If you didn't sign a contract, you'll have to refer back to your emails and see what was said.

I was able to get hold of my friend, and she offered me some tips. I added one link on every page!!! I was soooo proud of myself that I can do that!!! In spite of no formal training on the subject.


However, I still have things I want to add and need some support on this. Is it possible that I just post my questions and some of you can tell me what to do?

I will defintely give you a call. I was home yesterday for like 5 hours to re-do my website. It is too bad that there was no contract, or anything like that. I did not think of it as an "actual business", which I am responsible for not making sure there was one. So no complain about that. I am going to email that person again and ask her to make some changes on my site.
