Hi All,
I'm in desparate need of a website makeover and fix my shopping cart! I accidentally deleted the contents in my shopping cart and tried to fix it and I couldn't simply because I'm nota professional. My normal web guy stated that he was going to charge me $500 to fix my mess. Plus, an additional fee to add more contents to my site.
My problem is that I don't want my site to look so template-ish. I manufacture and sell high end products and I want my website to show that and be cost effective at the same time. Is there such a thing? My site has only been up for last than a year so orders are slowly coming in.
If you think you can help me please either pm me or e-mail me at kandleindulgence@msn.com. Please share your ideas, approximate rate or fee and any additional information you can offer. I greatly appreciate any assistance and ideas.
Thanks,
Jameel Nolan

Hi there....have you ever tried using OSCommerce? They are a free shopping cart and it's fully customizable to suit your needs. I used them for years. Plus they're free!
Here's their website if you want to check it out:
http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/oscommerce (http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/oscommerce)
This is a whole list of sites that currently use OSCommerce. You'll see that they are all using the same exact shopping cart but they customized it to suit their individual needs:

P.S. I think $500 is a very, very reasonable fee to fix this blunder and re-enter all of the items. I would have charged a lot more.

Hi Jennfier,
I'm currently with Precision Web. I do have to paid though but it works for me. I don't have a problem paying the $500 to fix my problem but I wanted to see what others are charging.
Thanks for your feedback.
Jameel
