I cannot argue with them, like I said, I haven't completed the program yet so I really do not know how much it has benefited me! I will let you know my thoughts on it once it's complete

Hey Barbara,

SiteBuildIt is worth looking into. My husband and I have been with them
for a little over two months. I'll provide a few links below that will
help you understand why it's the way to go, but I want to add this
comment.

Another reply to your post, by TeresaK, mentions that she tried it over
a year ago and wasn't impressed. That's interesting, and even more
interesting is that her site, www.easywebanddesign.com, is about building
websites. Here are a few facts to consider.

That site has been online since 3/2/04, and my site, which is nowhere
near completion, has been online since 10/18/05. My Alexa ranking is
already higher than her sites ranking, which indicates the amount of
traffic a site receives. I could go on, but I'll stop there.

I would have to say that the methods she speaks negatively about actually work. What do you think?

Just a thought, not trying to bash anyone, but I just wanted to point that out.

If you haven't viewed the proof of the success of SBI sites, go to:

http://results.discover-online-success.com (http://results.discover-online-success.com)

No other company in the web site building or hosting business can offer
anything close as to how effective their methods are, period.

I hope this has helped somewhat.

All the best,

Lisa

I wouldn't go by Alexa ranking...those numbers are known for how
inaccurate they are - if you want to know a sites true traffic you'd
need to check the server logs.

From what I understand the Alexa rankings are determined from visitors
who have the toolbar installed which is a good indication that it can't
give a true number on how much traffic a site actually gets and also
how easily be it can be manipulated....just install in the toolbar and
visit your site over and over ...have friends and family visit and
you're bound to get a wonderful ranking in no time.:) Those numbers
should really be taken with a grain of salt and not be looked at as any
indication of how a site is doing in popularity or traffic.

Just my 2 cents

Alexa has Yahoo ranked number one, and Msn ranked number two. I suppose
their is room for error there, but I doubt it very seriously.

Everybody visits those sites...repeatedly...including the people with
the toolbars, which would account for that. But for a plain ordinary
site the rankings have no merit. I think the only people who care
really care about the rankings are the toolbar users :(

Alexa determines stats or rankings based on visits by people who have
the toolbar installed, which is a *very* small amount of web surfers.
There's another ranking system that determines a site's popularity by
the number of links to it from other sites. Google's PR. Download
Google's toolbar and check sites with that to see how popular, or how
many links to it are found. Although more
people are taken into consideration when coming up with a site's PR (
and I'd be more apt to guage a site's popularity from this then ratings
from Alexa ) I don't think this ranking is something I'd put all my
eggs into either. The best you can do as far as SEO, traffic and
popularity is to optimize your site the best you can. Get good content
on the site, put something there that will actually help people and
that *want* to find then you have to reseach which keywords ( relevant
to your site ) are being used in searches....optimizing for and getting
first page ranking for keywords that are seldom used isn't going to do
you any good...you may be on the first page in search results - but for
what? You're still not going to get the desired traffic. You have to
determine what words, that are actually used in searches, are good for
*your* site and optimize for those. But content is ultimately the king.

Digimom,

I totally agree with everything that you said. Page rank is important,
but I've seen sites with a good page rank that don't even come up on
the Alexa "radar", meaning that their traffic is very minimal at best.
A good page rank with no traffic is still just that, no traffic!

I've seen sites with a good page rank that have less than 10 sites
linking to it, so page rank isn't any better of an indicator than the
Alexa ranking that you dismiss. Alexa may not be perfect, but it's a
very reputable company in what they do nonetheless. Who else does what
they do that can be relied upon? Anyone?

The great thing about SiteBuildIt is the tools that are available to
determine which keywords are worth using, and which ones aren't. That
being said, consider this:

Ignoring keywords that don't have the absolute highest demand is a
mistake. Obviously, the higher the demand, the more chances that you
get your fair share of the traffic if your site is optimized properly.
But to ignore the keywords with lesser demand is like a business in
your city not having a mix of products for those who are willing to
spend more money, and those who don't buy what the higher income
bracket buys. You need to target both, and I know exactly which ones to
go after due to the tools available.

You also have to factor in how many competitor sites are focusing on a
particular keyword, better known as supply. The higher the supply,
regardless of the demand, the harder it is to win the battle for that
particular keyword.

I have that information at my disposal for any keyword that I decide to
research, and then I choose the ones with the most potential for
profitability. The issue of the singular verses plural form of a word
or phrase plays a big part in the competitive supply as well. How many
hosting and designing companies or individuals can provide that at no
additional cost?

It's like the old saying about not putting all of your eggs in one
basket. There are high demand searches that have multiple word searches
that relate to them. Thinking that they aren't important is good news
to me if you were my competitor, because I'm going after them as well.
Only focusing on the best in demand keywords is like having blinders on
, and you can't afford to do that in order to be successful on the very
competitive Internet of today.

Of course, as you said, content is king, and that content should
include specific keywords, as well as multiple keyword phrases that
relate to the content of the page.

Well, that's not what I said but it really doesn't matter.

My apologies if I misunderstood your post.

There is a free tool that is available for anyone to use provided by
the company who runs SiteBuildIt. It won't cost you a penny to click on
the link, so check it out. I think you'll be intrigued by what you can
do, and the information that you can find, by using this free resource.

After you get a feel for all of the features, let me know if it has
been helpful to you. Again, no strings, they provide it as a way of
allowing people an opportunity to experience a part of what they offer.

If anyone who truly attempts to discover the many features of this free
resource says that it isn't worth their time, they basically aren't
being honest with themselves. Check it out at
