View Full Version : Brochures or Flyers?

Hi to All!!! I just had a question. I am a 'newbie', so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I wanted to know, as I am on a limited start up budget, would it be better to order flyers or brochures from the home company? I couldn't find a listing on the online ordering form for either, so...Do I need to just call the back office?

This is the idea I had. To order a dozen of the pupkin spice votives, get my name and 'smell' out there, and also have something on hand that has good info about the variety of products we offer (like on the brochures it has all of the info about all of the products, the opportunity for hbb, as well as all of the candle scents). Does this make sense? I hope so. Please give me your thoughts as experienced reps. I just don't have the budget starting out to order the starter pack, as Jackie reccomends, but want to make the most of what I have.

Thankyou for your time. Have a super day! Lesly

Hi, it depends on what you are doing - an open house, for example a flyer (made by you) with a scent sample would be fine - and cheap.

I personally like the brochure because it does not cost very much, fits into an envelope, and has both the business and product information in it so you are addressing both interests. It also saves some time.

What do you intend to use them for, maybe a can help better?

Hi, I think that the brochure would be good, because as you mentioned, it has all of our product information, as well as the business opportunity. I ordered the brochures because it explains everything.

Hi Lesly!!smileys/smiley1.gif

I would go with the CD if you can. I think it's a great presentation. People love to watch it and it will be personalized for you with your info. It's very inexpensive to burn copies of them and very effective.

You might want to sell the votives or give little sample sachet packets.

hi Lesly....

I agree with Lori invest in the CD as soon as you can. Go ahead and order it since it takes about 3-4 weeks for production time. Plus you don't have to pay for it until around then.

In the meantime though I'd say go with the brochures. You can make your own flyers anytime. There are some great ideas on the Yahoo Groups that you can just edit and put in your own info. The company brochures list all the scents (which really get folks excited) AND has the other products...which get them EVEN MORE excited.

Business cards, brochures , votives (at least) and the cd are pretty much the very best things to start out with IMO. Dinika is right, if you order the cd now, hopefully you won't have to pay on it for at least 2 weeks....and try to put a nice pic with it. It makes it more personalized!!!!!

Hi Lesly,

I would also suggest pruchasing the brochures right now and the CD when you get the chance! I think they are both beneficial to your business.

Here is a link to John and Lise McFadden's board. They have created a wonderful sample pack with a letter. I think it is a wonderful idea and could be a very effective way to build your business.

Lesly,

Remember, the scent is the number one tool we have. If you are limited in budget, first invest in votives that you can use for scent samples.

You can reproduce a flyer from the many developed. Get some business cards, from vista print if it makes it more affordable, and be prepared to mail a few scent samples, a flyer or brochure and business card announcing your business to everyone you know.

Here is a link to some flyers and training -

I did a test mailing both CD packets and just scent packets and found that the scent is what sealed the deal. I still use the CD, but reserve that for those who indicate a STRONG interest in the business.

Doing the same steps in marketing but changing my mailing strategy has not changed my sponsoring stats one bit.

And, I like that it makes it more affordable for the newbie!

Good luck.
