Crazy Couple Days
My brother had knee replacement surgery a few days ago. Last night he began behaving strangely. By this morning, he was hallucinating. His wife called and ambulance and he was taken to the hospital.
My husband & I drove down to the hospital (about an hour away). He was in terrible pain, but he was thinking clearly by the time we arrived. His leg was swollen and angry-looking.
We stayed for several hours and just arrived home. His wife (with whom we are very close) called to tell us that all test results finally came in, and his knee is badly infected. They are giving him massive amounts of antibiotics and keeping him overnight.
Since they were considering a blood clot or other serious problems, we are still very concerned, but not quite as worried. It appears he is in good care.
It has been a long, stressful day, so I'm heading to bed now.
