Lightbulb How do Insurance Agents Earn Income?

I have observed that in my neighborhood, there are some insurance offices with only one or two agents, i.e. State Farm, All State, American Farmers... I am just wondering what expenses are involved with having an insurance office and how do they actually generate income?

Here's a better place to ask that question. Insurance Forum

For a short answer commission are paid from as earned, advanced and for certain products renewals. Some carriers may also help with some office fees because there may be one agent but they may also hire a CSR to handle things like the paperwork and other things around the office. . Of course there's more to it but I'm trying to keep it simple.

We have several insurance agents with Xpress. They add our plans to their product line.

So, if a potential client cannot afford health insurance or they are uninsurable, the agent introduces them to Xpress as an affordable alternative where everyone is accepted!

Insurance agents are really good prospects!

Default I am a Producer with Farmers

Hi there,

I am a licensed producer with Farmers and we earn by commission and bonuses. Each agency sets the terms of your contract. Each company has different compensation plans and structures. Some of us are employees others of us are contracted. Some are commission, some are paid hourly. It differs by each Agency with in each Company.

Hope that other forum is helpful...
