I'd check out Triple Curve. Some of their 'teams' often hire for product descriptions. They are a reliable company as I've been working with them for a number of years and have had a pleasant experience.

I was doing that for CopyPress, it was OK work. Lots of hotel descriptions - It was really funny to read some of the guests' complaints and sort of dance around them in my descriptions.

I switched to another gig writing science and how-to articles. One thing I like about that is I get a byline, so I can build a portfolio of my work to show as samples.

Try Crowd Content- I think they get a lot of the 50-100 word product descriptions.

I found a product description job, oddly enough, on Odesk. I guess you can do the same since the client market is big, but be aware of the scams. In the meantime, check out this , there should be something suitable for you.
