Post [Hiring] We're looking for a freelance writer who knows reality shows...

Hi everyone,

Our site has grown to the point that we're going to hire someone to help with the content. The site is CastingMaster.com and was started as a hobby. We aggregate all the casting information for reality shows and include custom content about the shows.

We are specifically looking for someone who is already a reality show fan that would have a background and knowledge of the show to create content in a format similar to what's on the site. As an example, here's our article on Kid's Baking Chalenge

The person we hire will get an email containing a show title and details around the casting to construct an article. We have a web developer on staff who will handle getting the images and converting the page to HTML. Simply sending over a nicely formatted email with appropriately bold section headers and bullet lists will work.

We are looking for 550+ words per article, and would prefer to hire someone who is capable of producing polished content that won't require editing or revisions. We currently use iWriter for a lot of our content, but I would prefer to have one go to person who is already familiar with reality shows.

In terms of compensation, we are offering $10 per article written. This is considerably higher than we pay on iWriter as we're looking for someone that can produce higher quality content without us needing to fix grammar and spelling issues. This will be a part-time position with a few article requests per week and each article can have 3-4 day turnaround. We want to be very flexible to the person who works with us so that this can fit into any other responsibilities and functions as an easy method of earning some extra cash. For compensation turnaround, we will send payment via paypal for each article when it is accepted by us. The only delay in payments may be if something is delivered to us on a weekend that we don't check our company email until Monday, but otherwise we expect to submit payment usually within a day.

If you're interested, please check out our site or message me with any questions.

PS. if you have ever appeared on a reality show, definitely please contact us as we may do a special offer for some exclusive content or an interview with information/tips that we could publish to help our visitors.

Are there specific shows that you need writers for? I'm a huge reality TV show fan but only with certain shows, if that makes sense.

Default Specific Shows

Hi Brenda,

The person we are looking for long-term would be someone who could write on any show, but our site isn't large enough to support outsourcing that much work. If you can private message me a list of show's you'd feel comfortable writing about, we may be able to find some that are on our list to see if there's something that works for both of us.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the great applications. We have found someone that has been delivering great work for us.

When our site grows beyond to the point of needing another person. I'll definitely post here again as we received many very talented people contacting us.

Cheers,
