Disgusted with Crowdsource

I am so disgusted with Crowdsource I can't see straight!!!

They are so inconsistent that it's driving me buggy -- first one ed over there says that it's okay to cite one resource. Then, when I cite the resource in the next article I get a fail because the other ed thinks the resource isn't allowed.

There were articles that required (IMHO) more than five resources. Since there's only room for five at the top of the page, one editor told me to put the overflow in Notes to Crowdsource. I did that for a while, then one day that was no longer allowed and -- guess what? -- got another fail.

Not to mention the eds who sort of tweak an article and say "Good job," and the eds who make the same minor corrections and give the article a fail. (Those are usually overturned, but still).

Anybody else being driven crazy by CS? They're sending me straight back in to the arms of TB, which is saying something.

Sorry you're having issues and I have seen some other complaints. I think that sometimes different editors have different ways of doing things.

Yes Dana, but different editors should not be THAT different from each other. To be blunt, this is money we're talking about here. They should all at least try to be on the same ruddy page.

That's one of the reasons I haven't touched my account in weeks. I know I'm a good writer and yet they make me feel like I stink LOL

Brenda, they don't make me feel like I stink -- they make me understand that they stink. And that I like writing for them less and less.

That's a great way of looking at it. I simply won't write there anymore though. I have some private clients and am pushing to get my stuff to start earning money.

And not only are they arbitrary and inconsistent, the questions are sometimes incredibly stupid or unanswerable. Such as "Why do I hate myself so much?" or "How can you make the veins on the back of your hands pop out?" "What's the name of the person I will marry?" Do these questions have answers?

Sometimes, it looks like there's a lot of work, but there really isn't thanks to nonsense like the above.

I think this could have been a good site, one that I would have enjoyed writing for, but they've pretty much killed it. I wish someone with half a brain would come up with something like this because then I wouldn't mind writing for it.
