Most of my submissions have been over $5 and yes, against their "rules", was personally contracted by a client for well-paying work and even an amazing referral offer in addition to simply offering me additional clients. So I guess it just depends on how well you've written and finding the right client. As for the bonuses given, I've seen some clients offering bonuses as you described, as well as one completely altering an order. It's not a perfect site, but for starting out, yeah it's decent and others might get lucky as well.

That sounds terrible.

At our platform customers have to go through 4 revision rounds before they can permanently reject it and then the writer still has the option to open a dispute and then we decide if it's fairly rejected or not.

I don't agree with your comment about people that make spelling mistakes judging the quality of work, I make quite a few grammar mistakes myself but there's nothing wrong with my eyes when judging the quality of work.

Quality content goes far beyond grammar and spelling though, that are just the basics, then the real writing starts.
