Default Proofreading Pricing ...

Pricing, pricing...

I was asked what I would charge to proofread an entire website! This could possibly be my FIRST PC, and I am quite nervous in trying to determine a price.

Proofreading is what I want to do, so this would be an enormous opportunity.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Default How much is there to proof read?

How much text is on each page? Are you looking at a few paragraphs a page or at full length articles and how big is the site?

This is a great guide to current editorial rates:
EFA: Resources: Editorial Rates

They speak of manuscript pages though, which are 250 words a page. You'd have to review the website to see how much content there is on the pages they reviewed.

Every website editing job I've had has paid $30 to $50 an hour.
