How long does it take you to write an article? Any tips?

I gave myself permission to write first draft crap instead of agonizing over each and every word. It turns out my first drafts aren't so bad after all. And even if there were, it's always easier to rewrite something than start with zero. I'm still not as fast as I want to be, but it's getting better every day.

On average, 15-20 minutes per 500 word article. To speed up research time, I usually choose topics I already know something about, and then go through and find random sites with information to post in the resources section for each one. THEN I get just go back and blitz through the articles and hand them in. This is on WG, so that helps because they are more general in nature with usually no actual brand names, hard numbers, etc...

I used to have issues with perfectionist induced writer's block until I discovered Write or Die by Dr. Wicked. It really helps motivate me to get the words on the screen. You can check it out here
