Well, if you have your own AdSense ID and write based on keyword research, I'd suggest you go with HubPages. The reason is that HubPages allows you to directly input your AdSense ID and so there is greater transparency. You get to know how much each click your article receives is worth and earn that much. For example, on some articles of mine on HubPages, I've gotten as much as $6 for a single click. My highest/click has been around $8.
With HubPages, I can track all my individual hubs on AdSense and see how they are performing and work towards maximizing my AdSense earnings. An added bonus is the option to monetize your articles using Amazon and eBay affiliate programs. I've never quite mastered the eBay program, but Amazon is quite easy to set up and earn from. |

I honestly would try to do both. In fact, it's what I'm in the process of doing too. I am doing pretty well on Suite right now. Once I see my earnings grow some more, I am going to focus more on Hubpages. You can never have too many eggs when it comes to residual income.

I am doing it opposite from you both. I have started HubPages recently and when I build up a residual income with them, then I plan on joining Suite 101.

Both Suite101 and HubPages took huge hits with the Google Panda update. HubPages now allows you to turn on subdomains so that your articles sit in their own place on the domain. That helps to keep weak writers from bringing you down.
I suggest people create their own sites if at all possible. I like using HubPages for backlinking purposes. |
