Try to connect with others who might share an interest in your niche. Like other people's pages, posts, etc. Send friend requests. Comment on their pages, posts, etc. Don't spam, but include a link to your blog/website when allowed and when appropriate.

Good luck.

A big No No is to not message or inbox people about what you are doing or try to sell them something this way, big turnoff and will just get you blocked from FB.

You need to first build an audience and followers. You will want to truly connect with people, not just "spam" them with your business (assuming you have a home business to promote or product). Don't advertise on your personal page as that is a big turnoff, people tune it out. Use attraction marketing for your personal and fan page. You can google it also and get lots of free tips!

Like other pages and people when you are logged in as your business page not just as yourself.

Connect and network with one another. Doing this time both of you will share info about your business don't include links just tell them about it. You need to build long lasting relationships with people. In a facebook group you could post I'm looking to connect with like minded individuals and people add you & you share your business and business ideas.
