Default Introduction

Hi all,

I am brand new to the forums but have been a stay at home dad for about a year now of a sort. I have a MA in history and work at a local historic site on the weekend. My wife manages a restaurant here in town and earns the bulk of the money. We live pretty comfortably, although mostly paycheck to paycheck.

Recently I've been thinking about earning a little money while I'm here at home with my son. However, I really don't know where to start and figured this forum would be a good starting point.

I am not looking for a ton of money or a ton of time to invest, mostly just a handful of hours per day. I was wondering what has worked for you guys and what might work well for me.

Thanks in advance for any advice you all can provide!

Hi and Welcome!

I suggest you investigate affiliate marketing, because ...

1) Your startup costs will be low. Below $100 a month.

2) You don't need your own website.

3) You don't need to develop your own products (leave that for later)

I don't think I can post a link to it here (due to forum rules) but there's a good Youtube video about affiliate marketing by one Joel Comm. I think it's called 'What is internet marketing?'

It will give you a basic understanding.

There is also an Affiliate Marketing sub-forum here.

Hi there! I'm new to the forum but I've been working as a consultant for a company for almost two years and looking forward to being a stay at home dad really soon. I have a little boy that is growing quick and I want to spend more time with him. My wife already works from home and soon I will be joining her! Good luck!

Default Welcome!

I do a little part-time work at home mainly by doing a few survey sites. It takes a long time & quite a few surveys to get paid. I received two $25 Wal-Mart cards from one site & another has sent me three $10 codes for Amazon.

I do a few surveys a day usually early in the am or late pm.

Good luck

I agree, a survey site is a really good place to start in a few bucks hither and yon. Maybe you and your son could go off on adventures as secret shoppers.
