I’m still new, but here’s a few important points I’ve learned so far:

- Use larger font sizes across the board.
- Create enough white space so that your pages don't look cluttered.
- Simplify the navigation menu as much as possible.
- Use plenty of images and sub-headers to make your content easier to digest.
- And, of course, keep it all mobile-friendly.

Agree with this.
A sleek, clean look is really important right now. The days of cluttered pages, with lots of banners, messy backgrounds and text all over the place, is over.

And, yes, make sure your website is 100% responsive. According to Statista, "as of February 2017, mobile devices excluding tablets accounted for 49.73 percent of web page views worldwide."

Choose a paid theme if you want to avoid hidden bugs and malicious code. Also, always use a security plug-in to secure your site against hackers. Yes, even if your site is relatively new and not popular, hackers will still hack it and it is a nightmare. If you are using Wordpress, Wordfence is a good security plug-in. Similarly, SEO plug-ins like Yoast (again if you are using Wordpress) is a good idea if you want to make your site SEO friendly.

I agree with the others about the look and feel - the less cluttered, the better. If you are using advertising, again, don't use too much, use it sparingly so visitors aren't put off.

Thank you very much for the interesting information. Your website is always a huge responsibility, as it is the calling card of your business (business, technology, science, etc.). When accessing your website, a person should be as pleasant and comfortable as possible, he should be informative and at the same time not very rich in information. I would advise you to contact this company https://gapsystudio.com/service/web-design/ They create a very high-quality web design, maximally taking into account your requirements and desires.
