So far this has been a nice little way for me to practice my skills. I will never be a transcriber that is able to type 100 or more wpm, so something like this lets me learn without being overwhelmed. I know some people have criticized the pay and say we are hurting their industry, but you can't get a job without experience and you can't get experience without practice. It's nice to get paid to learn to be better at something.

Hello...this message is for KittyMarie or anyone else who is experienced with TranscribeMe. I love TranscribeMe and can't complain except for wishing they had steadier work available. I do see mentions of this Yammer thing you can sign into, but I have never been able to get into it. I click on the link from their site and am told I can't sign up without a corporate email. Can you help?

TranscribeMe sends out invites to join Yammer. If you didn't get an invite PM me and I will send you the email of the person who can help you get into the group.

TranscribeMe just recently opened for transcribers, but i cant create my account because my username is already unavailable! what the- and i checked and checked the page but there is no box to put a username. someone explain this? thank you

There is no usernames on TranscribeMe...

You say you cannot create an account. Then you say because your username is unavailable. But then you say there is no box to put a username...So how do you know your username is unavailable? If thre is no box to put a username.. How'd you figure that out?

Yes, Thank you for replying. unfortunately they are closed to employment again. i wish i can have a screenshot, but yes, it told me that i have an invalid username sh**. ohhhh damn i mssed the chance...i'll post a screenshot soon so that you guys will see...thanks

Perhaps someone with the same name as you is already setup with an account or you signed up for an account already. You can contact the operations department at [email protected] so they can look into it.

I just got signed up for transcribe me, which I'm happy about. I want to be able to do transcription work but don't have the experience and transcribe me will allow me to get the experience.
They are currently hiring a bunch of transcribers for a project but I don't know how much longer they will stay open.
