We stop buying water bottles! It's so wasteful! Instead, we go to walmart and fill up our empty water jugs for like .27 cents a gallon! Good for my pockets and the environment! Win-Win!

Smile Despite earning a great income, I still drive a "beater"!

I feel like car expenses are so out of proportion to people's incomes! I buy used cars and never spend more than 10% of our annual take-home income on a car. In fact, I'm still driving a 13-year-old Honda Accord despite making over 6 figures. It's dependable and gets me from point a to point b and we've never had to do any repairs other than basic maintenance. Many people I know who are making much less are sinking their income into nicer cars. Who cares?!? It's one of the worst things to spend your money on. Find a decent, reliable used car and drive it til it dies and repeat.

I would have to suggest making a budget and follow it! Then keeping the money for groceries and everyday spending in cash so that you can control what you are spending. I don't know why but when I pay by card I tend to lose track of my budget and I find it difficult to control myself. So those are some tips that help me save some money

Default Sell toys on Ebay

Both my boys were obsessed with superheroes. And over the years the two of them accumulated so many.

I was sorting through them and they were all in such a great condition. So I checked out Ebay and toys seem to be a really popular thing to sell.

We spent a whole weekend, cleaning, sorting and listing the superheroes and over the period of two weeks they all sold. We made a tidy 370

Lego is another popular toy that sell well on Ebay.

Hazelp,

I'm new to WAHM too! Great tips! I like #4 about waiting 2 weeks to see if you still want the item and also #5 making lists before going shopping. However, sometimes it's difficult to only buy what's on the list, since so many things at the store are so tempting, especially if they're on sale!! Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, I find it really hard to save money right now. What will you guys suggest? Is there a budget sample that can help me out? I feel that I spend a lot on groceries and I am trying to cut from that but it's hasn't been successful

Hi breakdown!

Groceries are hard to cut from. But, here are a few other places to try to save. If you have cable TV, you could go without, maybe watch Netflix or something like that. Take a look at your cell phone bill if you have one and make sure you have the best plan for you. You can usually talk to customer service and they can help make sure you have a what you need/want. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Have a nice day
Bri

Default Self Checkout

I always bring a pocketful of change with me to the self checkout at the store. It's a great way to get rid of the loose change around the house and it really starts to add up after awhile!
