How do you manage your infant while working?

I had the same question because I was hoping I could get some good ideas about how to keep my 3 year old busy and occupied .

I'm currently expecting and all my other kids were already in school by the time I chose to WFH. I've just got offered a full time position with my company and now I'm like Oh, dear...what do I do lol

I did freelance writing gigs when my babes were in arms. That way I could write when they were sleeping. I didn't make a ton of money but enough to get us through. There are lots of resources on here. I also wrote articles for Mothering Magazine - they paid pretty well.

Writing jobs are the best for when you have little ones, or things that just don't require the phone . . unless you are doing your own home business, then the kiddos in the background are ok all the time!

An infant can sure make a phone job challenging. Do you have anyone who can watch your baby while you work?

I visited my niece last month, it was very hard to work and take care of a baby even if it's just for awhile. What more if I'm a full time mom with a full time job at home. I am very proud and amazed by you telecommuting moms!

Many people work from home the opposite shift as their spouse , work writing jobs or start a home business . It is a blessing to be able to work from home but defiantly a struggle some days .

I have a 6-month old, and between her being noisy and needy, I can't do a phone job with scheduled hours. 99% of phone jobs won't allow background noise - some phone mystery shops will allow noise. I do Lionbridge and a couple of writing gigs. I can work when I want and how much I want at a time. It's an ideal situation for right now and much less stressful than a phone job.
