Oh Purse-onality, I am so excited for you! Isn't it great when one of our 'eggs' really works out? Thanks so much for the update, I am not very confident with my writing skills,
but reading your update almost has me convinced to give this a try too!

Continued good luck with this one!!

Thanks, IBellamy. TKitten, I just started with them late last week. I was told I will be paid for my approved sample today via Paypal, as payments for approved works from the previous week are all paid the following Monday. They are on PST, so I don't expect payment until later in the day. I will post if it's received. I completed a bunch of assignments over the weekend. It is for a major well-known site/brand, so I doubt this company would sacrifice their namesake and put their faith in eZdia to produce ad copy without thorough research and trust into their business practives. So, I have no doubt I will be paid today and going forward. They seem very professional. The work I submitted Friday afternoon/evening has not been approved yet, however, and it was not looked at over the weekend. So, I think that editors are more active towards the beginning of the week. Either that, or they were so overwhelmed by the number of applicants and assigning them to appropriate projects, that they are a bit behind. Even if they take a week or two to process, the fact that they pay weekly is better than most other writing sites/clients, so I have no problem with that. I'll post later and let you all know.

You should give yourself credit and give it a try! I think you have great writing skills from what I can tell. You'll never know unless you go for it! The worse they can say is "no." I hear "no" on a daily basis from my kids, so I don't worry about rejection....it's a part of life. It just means there are better opportunities for you around the corner.

I heard back within a couple of hours on Thursday. And just to update everyone, I got my payment for my sample promptly via Paypal about 10 mins. ago! I was holding off in sending a ton of work to them in case it fell through (so sad we have to protect ourselves in this way because we elect to work from home), but I will go into it full force now! I just hope the editors are able to approve pending projects in a timely fashion. I can't find any information on how long the editing process takes. My sample was approved within a couple of hours from the time of submission, but it may take longer once you are "in" and actively working on a large quantity of projects.

UPDATE: Editors are ON it! I already have all of my pending projects approved and some great feedback too! Plus, as promised, I have been paid for my sample. This company gets an A++++!! Good luck to everyone and thanks IBellamy again for posting!

Question

Hi All,

I have no idea what pay expectations should be for a 500 word article. I am just starting out.
Please help!
