Question Google Rater Job Inquiry

What is a Google Rater when working at home? I am interested in this job opportunity. Perhaps this will be my ideal job at home.

I appreciate your time and support.

I look forward for your reply.

A Google Rater is an independent contractor who works as a search engine evaluator. Google Raters rate web pages based on a set of guidelines to improve the search results of the Google search engine. In fact, the term Google Rater is used interchangeably with Search Engine Evaluator and other titles that refer to the same type of work.

As far as I know, there are only 3 companies that hire for this kind of work and they are Leapforce (Google), Appen Butler Hill (Bing) and Lionbridge (my understanding is that they contract for both Google and Bing, but don't quote me on that).

Here are the links you can check out for more information, if you are interested:

Leapforce

Appen Butler Hill

Lionbridge

Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Being a Google Rater would be such a cool job. But I've heard there is a tremendous amount of competition for these jobs and they are hard to get.

Is that true?

I'm an ads rater for one of the aforementioned companies. Unless this sort of work comes naturally to you, and it doesn't for many, it can be difficult. Yes, there is a lot of competition, but a lot of people don't pass the tests. I had failures before I had a success.

I applied to Leapforce and didn't pass the first part the exam. I was so bummed. It was rather difficult and I guess I should have printed the 150 pages of guidelines before I took the exam. You live and learn I guess!

I contract with one of the above mentioned companies, and it can be quiet difficult starting out, including the testing phase. I am pretty happy with it though. It gets easier in time.

Work Force Logic also has openings for some type of rater position right now.
