Social Interaction Agent


Introduction to Direct Interactions based in Seattle, Direct Interactions provides contact center solutions using American agents that work from home. We are socially responsible in our business practices and seek to provide great at-home work opportunities for all Americans, including people with disabilities. Our clients rely on Direct Interactions to support their customers by telephone and electronic communications



About the position:



This fast paced job includes posting advertisement data to specified sites provided by the client. In this challenging, highly visible posting position you will be responsible for copying, pasting and in some cases improvising introduction data that leads viewers back to specified links.

Join the conversation with prospective customers on blogs and social media! We post marketing messages with links to our clients’ web sites as part of social media marketing campaigns. For example, one client is a television network that uses our service to interact with viewers via social media, notify them of future episodes, and add value for advertisers on the show.



Position Duties:



Use our software to read, comprehend, and respond to blog and social media posts relevant to our clients’ products.
Make quick decisions about which online conversations are relevant, and worth contributing to.
Write succinct, creative responses to online conversations that incorporate our clients’ message.

Required Skills:

Applicants must have extensive knowledge working in a Windows based environment.
Ability to discern appropriate message while communicating in a one to many environment, all the while maintaining consummate professionalism and patience.
Ability to empathize and engender trust in engagement with the consumers.
Self sufficient and dependable with the ability to work steadily in a timed environment.
Applicants must be knowledgeable on navigation of settings within Windows and Internet Explorer (other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, etc. or any Mac environment will not be allowed).
Ability to switch among different survey types within a single shift.
Ability to copy, edit and format scripts as required.
Web surfing and research skills.
Utilize accuracy and tact in determining appropriate posting, especially with controversial subject matter.
Respond to inbound calls as determined by client needs.


Summary of Essential Job Functions:

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Computer savvy—successful candidates not only have the ability to navigate among multiple browser windows and software applications but also to provide technical information back to the client in a roundtable discussion atmosphere.
Function comfortably in a performance-based environment where calls and posts and times are monitored, recorded and assessed.
Data Postings are gathered from scripts written from client product selling point of view. No illegal or illicit products are represented by Direct Interactions at any time. Please note that there may be controversial or content that is objectionable to some users in some campaigns.
Respond to incoming customer calls and queries as driven by client needs in a courteous, timely and professional manner.


Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience in a virtual call center
Legally able to work in the United States
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a blog posting atmosphere- frequent experience visiting and posting on blogs, Twitter and Facebook
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be 21 or over




Technical Requirements

PC running Windows Operating System (XP, Vista or Windows 7). Mac’s are not compatible with our clients’ software.
Internet Explorer 7 or higher required (Chrome, Firefox, etc. not allowed)
DSL or Cable internet (Wireless and satellite are not compatible with our client systems)
Current Anti-virus and anti-spyware
Installed and operational firewall
Monitoring and activity tracking software (Provided by Direct Interactions)
Corded landline telephone and corded headset (no cordless phones, cordless headsets or cell phones are permitted).




Shifts:

Currently seeking shifts during the hours of 7am-7pm PST Monday-Friday. Some weekends may be requested depending on client need. Shifts are scheduled in 2-4 hour blocks of time, for a total of approximately 30 hours per week dependent upon performance and adherence.



Pay Rate:



Begins at $9.50 per hour.

Is this social media thing just posting in facebook and twitter? Is anyone with this company?

They require you to install "monitoring and activity tracking" software? No thanks! And you need a corded phone only? Who uses corded phones these days? And since when does Social Media work deal with phone work? This ad seems very odd to me.

Read the ad. They spelled out the job responsibilities very clearly.

Monitoring software? I know some work at home jobs watch the screens of the workers during shifts, but that isn't something installed on the worker's computer. That's not the norm.
