Just wondered if anyone heard of an organized strike on one of the WAH companies (can't mention) because they recently lowered their pay by 30% while profits are soaring. Don't mention the company, but I heard rumors and wondered if they're true.

I would love to know if that's true. It would be a bold move on those home workers that's for sure. Most companies have such a large turn over. I would just caution the home workers to be careful if they decide to strike.

I know the company that you are talking about, but I hadn't heard about a planned strike. I am one of the workers, though, who has quit doing work for them, because of the pay decrease. It was like a huge slap in the face, especially when their profits are soaring.

I've heard lot's of people talking about this.. however, there are people who do want you guys to strike so that they can get more work..the more who strike the more work others can make without you online.... so it's kind of a bittersweet issue.

I personally don't think its a good idea and it's not going to change anything. I think that it has a 50/50 chance of going completely bad for all of us. We don't want to make other companies scared and start charging fees and stuff. I think that it will have a bad impact on teleworkers as a whole.

If you don't like the pay.. find something else to do.. is my opinion.

... and that is what I have done! I had just recently started, and found out how little I was going to make, and ended up declining. My time is worth more than what they are willing to pay me.

I know what company this is. The pay cut was a huge slap in the face. It is not a good way of showing that they value the people who have worked hard to make everything possible.
