I'm guessing that many just aren't working based on the number of alerts I get since the pay cut.

![]() ![]() Not to be the gripe.. but this is one of the reasons why many of our jobs are not in our country. They can offer work minus the complaints and they don't have to worry about stuff like this. I'm thinking about just closing my account with them... |

The truth of the matter is that if a strike were to take place, it wouldn't be effective because of the people who are willing to stick around. Like some others have said, it would be more work for the ones who aren't participating in the strike. Further, as an IC, we would have no leverage at all...a strike generally results in a company compromising on an employee's demands...this would not work in the virtual world unless we were represented by a union or a lawyer via class action suit...but we'd still have no leg to stand on due to the company's contract in which we all signed before working for them.
The only other alternative would be to contact the media regarding the low pay, however, that would only shed negative light on the company and hurt its business, which in turn would lower our traffic and pay even further. |
