When I knew I wanted to sell jewelry, I did massive research on the
internet and asked a slew of questions here, comparing commissions,
signup fees, returns, downlines, etc. I even asked for a sample catalog
from each to view the jewelry as well as possible without seeing it in
person.
Then I made my decision--Silpada.
I had sold another line before which is beautiful. But I
occasionally saw some of the exact same pieces in department stores,
even if color here or there was different, and for LESS. And, as goes
with "costume jewelry", it DID rub off after awhile on several, or
broke too often.
I chose Silpada because 1) it's quality Sterling, 2) it had far more to
choose from than the other two I was leaning towards, and 3) all
designs are unique and not found elsewhere...and I loved them. All were
important to me after doing the other company.
As far as two others I was leaning towards--one of the two was
really VERY expensive---even more than Silpada--and much less to choose
from. And the other had too much teenage/non-sophisticated styles.
Do I like everything Silpada makes? No. I think they have way too many "circle" designs in their pendants, earrings, etc.
Enough with the circles!! Some of the pendants hanging from gorgeous
beaded cords are SO boring. And I'm bored by the mixes of white
freshwater pearls with silver. And I'm sorry to see so many "hearts".
But....there are other pieces which I LOVE. Sophisticated designs in
multi-beaded necklaces (N1299 pg 5; N1858 pg 46; N1891 pg 19 to name a
few!), GREAT earthy color combinations, beautiful copper color beaded
designs, three nice long 60" boho necklaces in the 09-10
catalog....and sophistication and creativity in many. There is MUCH to like.
I'm just dang pleased with my choice.
