I agree with you, Erin, about broadening our horizons. I think as freelancers, it's just good sense to be able to write in many different ways. (eBooks, articles, magazines, and so on.)

Once DMS started sorting writer's into categories and making everyone reapply for their own jobs, I think most writers found that they were no longer "wanted" or "needed." Psh.

I've written for them and it's difficult to get them to accept just any ol' article. If they like your idea, however, they're willing to let you revise it and resubmit. They pay promptly, too.

Don't be discouraged. It can take a long time to get books to sell. Sometimes it can even take years to build up a stable income from eBooks. Just remember to market, market, market :) Good luck!
