Default Writing needs of real estate agents

Hi all,

I'm a freelance writer who is testing the waters of the real estate niche. Reading the threads here has been helpful.

I'm trying to figure out the best writing services to offer. Blogs for sure. How about newsletters that realtors send out to their list? Do many agents hire writers to put together ads for the property they are selling?

Any other suggestions, areas where real estate people need content?

Default Writing for Real Estate

Hi Mary,

The largest ongoing need for a Realtor would probably be blogging. That is probably the main thing that people outsource. I do send out a biweekly newsletter, but it is something that my company generates. You might want to approach some office managers and see if they need something for the entire office, although some people may create personalized newsletters for their specific geographic areas. Another thing that comes to mind are the bios. Every Realtor needs one, and I know some people do outsource. It sounds like you have thought of most things, but here is a list I came up with:

Blog posts
Shorter social media posts
Property descriptions
Neighborhood blurbs (some people might need this for their websites)

Hope that helps!

Real estate companies do post blogs but they prefer to hire website companies to write content for them You may consider joining a company to write stuff before heading out into freelancing.
