Special Page?

Did anyone else get an email from Quicktate requesting they sign into a special page for the next few days? I just want to make sure its not spam as my computer is telling me it is an unsecure connection. It LOOKS like it is from Julie, but am worried the email came from somewhere else. Thanks much!

The email is very real. It looks like (hopefully) this is something to take the load off of the server, but we'll see. Maybe an improvement! but anyway, it's suppose to be out today(?) I think.

How do you know it's real? I keep getting an error message saying that it's not safe to open and could be someone impersonating the site. Also, the email says that the "special page" only has a few files and the main work page has most of the files. So, since we are told to alternate, this means we will get less work overall throughout the day if we have to switch back and forth to this "special page" that doesn't have that many files?? Have you gone to this page and worked yet? Is it slower as far as traffic/files?

Yes, I also received this email and was leerie of it, as I am getting the warning message from my browser that it is not a safe connection. I asked one of the contacts on Yahoo Msgr, that hands out files for iDictate, if it was a real email. The person said they received the email as well and the warning message & that they weren't sure if it was a real email from QT or not. They said they would check with someone in QT's office to see if it was something that was sent out by them, and if so why the warning message keeps coming up.

The email is coming from typist support at QT, so I don't think J specifically sends out these emails, but someone in the support area may have sent it out if it is a legitimate email from QT.

I've added exception to it but haven't logged in yet. I noticed that the special page has an https on it as opposed to the old one with http only and the s as far as I know signifies a secured site.

Anybody dared try?

I've signed in and have gotten files from the special website. It doesn't have work history thought and, like said in the new email, is paid separately.

It would be nice if we got an email of why really we need this special site? I'm guess to help with server load, but who knows. Maybe J will post something on zen desk soon.

I never risked signing in to that unsecure site. HOWEVER, I just got another email from Julie with a new link...did y'all get it?'

P.S. My traffic is DEAD today! Anyone else???

I just received a 2nd email pertaining to this special page asking English & Spanish typists to sign out of the regular site every 15 mins. This time it gives a clickable link to the special page and it takes you to a site that looks exactly the same as the original site. Only difference on the special page site is that you can't keep track of the work you've done. It says you will be paid separately for the work done on each site. I wish they would install the same feature to track your work as on the original site, as this will mean that we will have to make copies of all of the files we do on the special page, just to know how much money we've made.

I did click the link and it seems to be OK. However, after a few mins of being signed in, I didn't receive any msgs to type. I wonder if you can have both of the sites open at the same time?
