Default How do you survive without coffee?

I have never been one to drink any soda - the carbonation is not something I like in my body......and I assume many drink it for the caffeine, so though I don't like it myself, I "get it" from a caffeine level !

My legal drug of choice is JAVA - hot, fresh, home brewed or many of the NUMEROUS coffee shops I visit throughout the day. Occasionally, I try to refrain, but somewhere along the am, I get what I call the "I need coffee now" headache and need to fuel my habit.

I really think that if there was ONLY one liquid choice in the world, my vote would be COFFEE !!! Cold, hot, blended, dripped, ground, whole bean, wrapped in chocolate, over ice, in ice cream, vente, large, with whipped cream topping....the choices are endless !! The list goes on - and I kindof feel like Bubba on Forest Gump !

Let's just say to my fellow brewer's.......long live the brew and the many small businesses that have helped me in my daily regiment

I Only have ONE cup (well ok, its a 21oz cup) but still, one cup in the morning and Im done.

I had to kick it. My addiction was horrible. I switched to a natural energy drink. Now I enjoy an occasional cup of coffee just because, but not because I NEED it like I did before.

I don't survive without it! I drink it black and strong. Of course, I really take it any way I can get it (LOL). Absolutely love, love coffee.

I think what has happened is that you have become addicted to the caffeine. That is why you get headaches and cravings. Like any other drug...and caffeine is a drug, you need to wean yourself off it gradually and start replacing it with a healthier choice.

Try gradually reducing the # of cups a day or switching to a 50/50 blend of regular and decaf. Try drinking tea. It also has caffeine but less per cup.

If it is the energy boost you are in need of, try changing your diet to eat smaller meals more often. Try to avoid high carb meals that will spike your blood sugar and leave you in need a a caffeine fix when you crash.

Default I love my coffee...

I do a detox about every 3 months, it lasts 7 days and I'm supposed to cut out caffeine. For the first 2 days I'm good but then I do really miss it...I enjoy my coffee too much to give it up completely!
