Many mom's are facing the last week or weeks of school depending on where they live. You probably have a week or more of vacation coming up. But when you are on vacation, are you really on vacation? The WAHM blog had a recent post on this topic: Can You Unplug on Vacation? - Work At Home Mother's Blog - WAHM.com
Fess up, how many mom's are sneaking some work in here and there and how many of you are off the clock? |

I must say I, too, love my work and seem a bit more 'connected' to the computer than I would like. When we go on vacation I do check my e-mails, but that's the extent of it. The rest can wait

Hi, enjoying vacation with my family and of course part of it is my job... I can't just leave it, for at least an hour I see to it that my job is not affected..

I can't help but check my email -- I get antsy if I don't!

Yes, I do. My customers and team members are important to me so I will check my email periodically and respond as I am available. Today's mobile technology makes working while away a breeze. You just have to set limits and priorities to balance it all.

No, I really try to focus on my family. Most of our vacations put us in the middle of the woods somewhere in Maine so I am not easily tempted.

I'm in the beginning stages of working from home so a vacation is not in the cards right now. I know down the road if all goes well, I won't be able to go 6 hours without at least checking my email.
