Default What is the best way to find a Vet for my dog?

Hi all ,
1. What is the best way to find a Vet for my dog?
Do you have any unusual but effective suggestions?
Like avoiding inexperienced vets etc..?

2. What do you ask the vet when you interview them?

Do you have any friends, neighbors, people in your area you know that have pets? If so, I would start with them. Ask them what vet they use and how they like them.

I may ask he vet herself/himself how long they've been treating animals or how long their clinic has been in business.

I like to use facebook or the nextdoor app to get local recommendations.

It is very difficult to find a normal veterinarian, I know many cases when animals died right on the operating table.
