Actually the drop in activity for me I think happened when they
Changed the format it was quite a change from how it looked.

I don't remember exactly but many complained. It just wasn't the same.
The font, the time. Now that I think about it what was the
Big deal yet it did change. Less people posted.

Some other forums are busier but they are also spammier. I like that WAHM keeps advertising all in one section and doesn't bog me down with ads in sections where I am trying to interact with different reps!

I miss the hey day of Wahm, it was so active & busy but that was before the change over, slowly things died off. I took a break because of life but just recently came back and am surprised how quiet it is.

I still love WAHM but yes, I know what you mean. I basically just hang out on my company's folder forum and then check here every now and then.

Two of the companies that I truly miss are:

Southern Living at Home (where I got my start! I will always love their products. They were the best quality even if they were expensive. I still have a good many and have been slowly selling them off. They still get a good price because ladies know the items hold up. I miss going to their Conferences and walking through their Product Showcase. It was like a Dreamland to me!"

Home Interiors- I know they are still around in a way with Celebrating Home but it still isn't the same. That huge catalog and all of the fun things. My first home party was a Home Interiors Party. I think I was 18. My sister had a party, then I had a party, then my Mom had a party. We still have many items from those parties. My Mom's most cherished picture is one called "A Morning in the Garden". I hope she will pass it to me when she passes-a long time I hope though

I still love going to Home Parties but I don't get invited to many. I would love to attend a Tupperware party. I like going and having items explained to me. It is so enjoyable.

Great thread!
Leanne

I miss Christmas Around the World This company was my true passion and I was with them for 11 years before they closed. It was an amazing company and so many of the people, both from corporate and the field, still are friends! The CATW magic and memories still comes alive when I decorate my home for the holidays

I also miss the WAHM heyday!! This forum was amazing - I got so many ideas from the wonderful people here.

I used to LOVE CATW! Loved their stuff. I wasn't a consultant, but I loved ordering from them.

Yep, I joined after 2001 sometime, on the OLD, old site...before they changed servers in 2005-ish. I completely miss those old companies...Purple Tree, Quiet Moments, my first - Cera Bella...the list goes on and on. I even remember when Scentsy started up and only had around 5 products...I thought it was way too small and now I think they're *almost* too big.

Ahhh...the old days!

Scentsy grew sooooo much in the first few years! I was one of the first 15,000 Consultants but lost my passion when Scentsy got so big and all my customers were becoming Consultants. I always loved Scentsy, their products and their mission. So when they decided to go back to the $150 every 3 month requirement, I came back and so did my passion! My business is booming and I'm back to what I love doing.
