Default From other companies

Hello, I'm curious aside from your own direct sales company...
What other direct sales products have you purchased?
Did you like it or not?
What are some direct sales companies you like to shop from other than yours?

Favorite products from other party plan?

Actually you can include yours too.

I like to support other direct sellers. Some products I've purchased I definitely did not care for and would not purchase again. Some of my favorites are or have been both direct sales and mlm:

Wildtree
Pampered Chef
MaryKay
NuSkin
Matol
Infinite Aloe
Partylite

and of course my own company:
Scentsy

I support others in DS whenever I can. For Christmas last year we made an attempt to do all of our holiday shopping from others in direct sales. Some that I love:
Scentsy
Pampered Chef
31
Some of what I got from Tastefully Simple

And of course, our products because I did lots of gifts with those too last year.

Dove Chocolate, Arbonne, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef ... just to name a few ! There are some terrific products out there - for almost every taste (no pun intended). I'm also intrigued by NY Organics.

Great question.

To Your Success,

Pink Pea

I love my NYR Organics but have purchased from these companies as well:

Silpada
Stella and Dot
Initials, Inc (Everything is beautiful from this company!)
Origami Owl ( bought a beautiful heart locket for my DIL)
Tastefully Simple ( the product I ordered was a little too salty for my taste)
Pampered Chef (have a ton of it)
Wildtree (delicious)
Discovery Toys (always for the grandkids!)
Scentsy (love)
Gold Canyon Candles ( these burned a little too sooty)
Arbonne ( Vanilla shake mix is so good!)
Mia Bella (best candles ever)

I'm sure there are more! I try to support my fellow direct sellers as much as I can!!

Sure!

I've purchased from:

Pampered Chef
Silpada
Stella and Dot
Lemongrass
Premier Jewelry

I'm sure there are others but those are the main ones that come to mind!

I love supporting other small businesses.

I often purchase Dove Chocolate Discoveries for my own personal stock, from myself...LOL! We love the Cinnamon dusted almonds, Drink Mixes and My kids LOVE the baking mixes especially the Truffle Fudge Brownies.

I have also purchased/had parties from the following companies
Tastefully Simple- We love the dip mixes from here and stock up at least 1-2 times a year.
Tupperware- Love the product ordered several times
Pampered Chef- Love the products, ordered a few items,
Arbonne- Really love the products, but a little pricey to be able to keep up on it for me.
Lia Sophia- Not much a jewelry fan, but helped a friend start her business
Premier- Again, not much of a jewelry fan, but ordered 1 piece to help a friend start, it broke
Usborne Books- Love the books.
Scentsy- Like the product- no flame around kids=genius!
Party Light- beautiful products, now offers no flame options too.
Pure romance- good products
Surprise Parties- My aunt sold for a while- fun products
Home made Gourmet- no longer in business I really liked a few of the mixes.
Mary Kay- tried selling, wasn't for me, but my grandma sold for years
31- Like the idea, but feel I am disappointed each time I do a party and try to order.
Miche- loved the idea, but couldn't keep up on them.
Okay, I think that's all of them

I missed this discussion! Jumping in:

I've hosted for:
Tastefully Simple - love many of their mixes especially the hot dips
Melaleuca - great cleaning stuff
CAbi (multiple times) - changes every season but I love it all
Silpada (before I became a rep) - can't pick a favorite item
Mary Kay (I was a rep for two years) - I love their cosmetics, especially their compacts to hold everything
Pampered Chef - the garlic press is da bomb. If you think garlic presses don't work, get the PC one!

In addition, I've attended parties for:
Dove Chocolate Discoveries - Peppermint chocolate wafers are my current favorite indulgence
31 - the Large Utility Tote and Organizing Utility Tote are fabulous staples that help me carry my business stuff efficiently!
NYR Organic - Love their skin care, especially the Frankencinse line
Premier jewelry (before I was with Silpada) - I like to call premier the "gateway drug to Silpada." They taught me to enjoy bigger jewelry and layering, but their jewelry didn't always hold up and sometimes had nickel, which is a problem for me because of my allergy.
Stella & Dot (after I was with Silpada but I bought a pin to support the hostess) - I love the pin I bought and think they have cute stuff. I've always considered getting one of their handbags, but never did so because of price.
Arbonne - I love their protein powder because it uses real sugar but not too much. I react to artificial sweeteners including stevia, and it's really hard to find a protein powder I like that doesn't use them.
Norwex - Forgot about this one, but my favorite is the mesh dishcloth. Works better than a sponge and doesn't hold the water so it doesn't get gross smelling!

And I've purchased from but don't have as many comments about items from:
Wildtree
Miche
Senegence
Younique
BeautyControl - wrinkle release pen rocks!
Makeup Eraser
Discovery Toys
Party Lite
Scentsy - love the plug-in warmer I have in my powder room
Velata - love the chocolate and warmers, hate the cheese
Pure Romance - the shave cream works really well

Most of the purchases I've made outside of a party came from contacts I met at vendor events. I love to support other vendors and their business!

ETA: I'm looking at my list compared to everyone else and think I need to start up "Direct Seller Shoppers Anonymous!"

I am a bit late too Liz but here are mine.

Recently I attended a Deals Done Workshop with Pampered Chef. LOVED it. It is where you make around 10 freezer meals. You buy spices from the PC rep and your groceries and then you go to a location and use all of the PC stuff. Genius idea for this company! I definitely found enough items that I wanted to use so I am having a PC party in January.

I buy Scentsy, Mary Kay, Aloette Skin Care regularly.

I try to always attend any party that I am invited to. I did a vendor event a week ago and there was a gal there that was set up. She made her own soaps from Goat's milk and olive oil. She also had bath salts and lip balms. They were fantastic and they looked very elegant in the packaging. My whole family suffers from skin condition and she had some great looking gift packs. So I got one for each set of parents (those that have everything!) and I know they are going to love it. I felt great supporting a woman who goes out every morning and milks her own goats!! I was really impressed. She cures the soaps for about 6-8 weeks to harden them so they last. She had a soap sock that you put the bar in and it exfoliates. PLUS the soap actually suds up which I love and I don't have to worry about dropping my soap anymore! Anyway, I love being able to support a woman who has this initiative and has a great product.

With so many of us in DS, shopping with each other, it helps us all!

Great thread.
Leanne

Lovingthesweetlife - ha - if I were with Dove I'd be my own best customer!! (That's why I'm NOT!)

I've purchased from:

Tastefully Simple
Pampered Chef
Tupperware
Norwex
Avon
Pink Zebra
Lilla Rose (just bought one of their pieces for my daughter who always lets her hair hang down in her face)
Vibella Jewelry - love it!
Ava Anderson - bought great non-toxic goodies for my family this year!

I don't get invited to a lot of parties since I live in a very rural area, but these are the companies I've bought from one or more times!

Lori in NY
