I am a bit partial because I am a Thirty-One Consultant, but I just wanted to say that we also have a purse that you can change the outside of the bag instead of changing out the whole purse. It is called the Fitted Skirt Purse. It comes in either brown or black base and there are always a wide variety of extra skirts to choose from. And the price-point is probably better than several of the ones mentioned in this thread; coming in at $45 and that includes the purse and 1 skirt. Additional skirts are only $15. Oh, and, the skirts can also be personalized with embroidery to match or contrast the skirt purse to make them even more "you."

I think the more important question is which one would you want to host? I think it's great that there are so many different lines of handbag companies that reflect a variety of styles. Which one offers handbags that you would personally want to wear?

I love that when I wear my Madison Handbag, it's a walking advertisement and conversation starter. In my area, women love them and they have a status associated with them, like Vera Bradley, only better because I got to design mine myself! I can't tell you how many times I've been out and women have come up to me and complimented me on my bag or commented how much they love theirs. I really think it's because they have a personal investment in their bag, they're proud of theirs, and they know others feel the same. As we grow, you'll start to see the bags in your area and you'll know what I mean!

At Melissa Ferrell, I actually love the skirt bag, one of the reason I was thinking of31 and that you can embroidered. I just wish they had them in different sizes with that same cOncept. I don't hear much of the consultants mention them however. I'm assuming not really a big seller? What has your experience been with it?

at Madison. I really liked what I saw in the catalog. I'm just wondering to what extent is it unique that One can design their own handbag. As far as the exterior fabrics, many of the other companies have a selection also as to which design you choose. So other than that, is it the lining and handle that you also get to choose which you can say then you designed? . It really does look like high quality. I'm thinking of Miche because I'm actually one of those person that at times have actually changed my outfit to match the purse I have my stuff in because I was too lazy to try and transfer all of it again. But thinking it might be heavy. The Miche. I like lighter bags. With Beijo, it looks nice but looks very expensive. However looks like they do sell a lot of it. With 31.. I like the skirt bag and that you can embroider it. I actually joined briefly like 4 yrs ago I think. I think I signed up under Phyllis. Don't remember her last name.

I liked it but my family who are into designer bags thought it had the look of Target. One sister in law though thought it looked like Vera Bradley. I think that's what you called it. I just like that it could be personalized. But I do like the look of Madison bag. So confuse. Thank you to all who replied. Anyone else want to add.. That would be great.

THIS is exactly what I was going to say!!! Love both of these products for this exact reason!

It's totally cute, but I will just say that I'm a big bag girl and the 31 skirt purse couldn't hold even my most basic purse contents! I do have a small purse from 31 that I use for travel, when I have to be minimalist, but none of their bigger bags offer the versatility of the skirt purse.

I have actually sold quite a few of the skirt purses (more than any other purse in the catalogs) and lots of skirts to those who already have their purses. That was the purse that I carried for several months, until I had to start taking so many daily meds, and then it was too small for me to carry all of those and my other purse contents. However, I have come up with a solution for that problem: I have bought a thermal zipper pouch to carry all of my meds in and then if we go somewhere, I can just leave that in the car in case I need them, and go back to my Skirt Purse. I just bought one of the turquoise skirts and had the Icon-It patch and also had it embroidered - waiting on it to arrive

Hi Lani!
Yes, some companies offer a few options to choose, but we offer well over 75 different fabric swatches to choose from including a variety of patterns, colors, and textures. As of this past weekend with the release of our new spring/summer catalog, we even offer 5 different shades of leather! (It was just updated on my website yesterday!) Depending on the bag you choose, you'd get to mix and match a variety of fabrics to design the outside of your bag and yes, you can change your straps, handles, lining, hardware, etc. too! The possibilities are really endless. The bags ARE really high quality. They're all handcrafted by our seamstresses in our facility in NY.
