Default Athome America Closed?

I just read on Facebook somewhere that Athome America closed. Does anyone know if that is true?? Was going to book a party with them. Guess that won't happen now if it is true. I hope not.

Thanks,

Wow! I hope not. I was just talking to a friend's sister at a local county fair this weekend (she was working one of the booth's there). She didn't seem aware of any issues!

Hmmm...I don't know, maybe it was just a rumor? Their website does not say anything about closing and they have a Fall catalog out.

I hope it's just a rumor. I used to be with them several years ago until my daughter got sick and I had to quit. I still love their stuff but have read they had financial troubles in 2010 and sounds like they are again. They are my all time favorite home decor direct sales company.

I heard this rumor also in a group that I am in on FB. Hope for the consultants sake that it is not true.

Unfortunately, many times when companies go under the consultants are usually the last to know and websites never give any indication of a closing, just business as usual. I hope that is not true in this case. I like their products Some of the posts are saying the closing is only for a few days. What company closes its doors for a "few days" and then reopens?
What about the consultants who need to place orders and enter parties? One poster has claimed she has waited for over 3 months for a delivery. Something is obviously not right there.

From what I am reading on FB, looks like it is true. Feel very sorry for all those HSS.

It appears that the employees were all laid off and the company has been sold at auction. There are people who have been waiting over 100 days for products. This is all based on Facebook comments, reviews, and web discussions. Heaven forbid the company put a statement out or there be a news article about it.

Very sad - I can't imagine being a rep who had a great home show, and then have the customers not get products and not be able to get their money back.

It seems this all happened without much communication with reps, which is really sad.
