I had a team meeting and skyped it to team members not in my state.
They could listed better than they could see I have not done it since though as I didnt think it was as good as chatting one on one Bonnie |

Interesting...
She said she did like a "home party" but on Skype! I guess showing the product, answering questions etc. I agree one on one is helpful since it's more personal. |

Here's a similar idea... Do a live online party and I think skype is great. But I wonder about using the chat or something on facebook instead. More people have facebook and it's more mobile right now.
More ideas to expand on this... I think you should have a hostess, as usual. This is agreat idea for the people who say no to hosting parties.. Maybe something like this... You, "Sally, would you please host a party?" Sally: "Oh, no. I've already had some recently, and I can't ask my friends again. Sorry." You: "Well, do you have lots of "faraway friends" on facebook?" Sally: "of course, I have facebook friends from all over the country." You: "Let's have a facebook party for just those "faraway friends." In fact, it might be fun to make it a reunion party for some of your friends from a specific part of your life..." Now, possible groups of her friends to invite... old classmates (no pun intended ![]() former coworkers old church friends and so on.... So those people will be motivated to come to the party from all over just to reconnect with one another. What a great time! I think one way to accomplish this is to make a facebook group JUST for this one party. Call it, "Sarah's FAcebook Pampered Chef Party JUST for my old school pals." People will get pretty good notifications when they are invited and join the group, but you should have the hostess do the usual inviting and follow-up as normal. Have it last 2 hours, maybe more if you have time to make it "open - house" style. Let them chat, chat and chat some more. Just tell them you'll interrupt every 15 minutes with a 5 minute commercial. You know what to do at that part. ![]() More ideas, ladies! I think this is a great topic, and a way to reach beyond your traditional "warm market" and get more bookings... online! |

Great idea! I didn't even think about doing a Facebook Group, lol. I'll pass that along to my team members.

I've been throwing around the idea of a "virtual" party with a friend, including her Facebook friends. Skype could be an interesting, perhaps wonderful addition.

I have done a Skype party before, it was very successful. I did it with a different company, not my jewelry company, it was a food company, my friend in a different state had been wanting to do a party and I hadn't been able to fly out there, so what I did is I did a supply order of the things she wanted to taste, had them shipped to her house instead of mine and then mailed her the catalogs and order forms. She followed the directions on how to make everything, then during the time of the party she set up her computer in the middle of the living room and I did my presentation like I was there, once I was done with the presentation I signed off and she collected the orders and faxed them to me and I inputted everything in.
It was great, only took about 15 minutes, didn't have to drive anywhere, and I only had to look decent from the waist up, lots of fun doing a party with your sweatpants on ![]() I think you can make it work with any product. |
