I know, the phone can be a struggle. And, it's your best friend in Party Plan and Direct Sales. The phrase "Just Do It" is the key.
First, when you are calling for bookings, remember - YOUR GOAL IS TO CREATE A WIN WIN AND GET YOUR POTENTIAL HOST ENGAGED IN WHAT HE/SHE WILL GET OUT OF IT. It's not about doing you a favor! So, develop your script around providing value! Second, schedule blocks of time, even small ones (15 minutes) when you are getting started and scared. Commit to it and watch what will happen. Remember - it's only 15 minutes and you aren't going to die! Smile and get yourself in an uplifted mood. Visualize a successful outcome BEFORE you start dialing! Be prepared. Engage in small talk for a few minutes and then get to the point. Ask for referrals! Who do you know who.... Loves hosting parties for free stuff.... Uses my product...... Knows EVERYONE.....
