For all of you Leaders out there I have a question:

Do you find that it is worth your time and productive to hold Opportunity based events for your team or do you have better results with simply doing One-on-ones with prospects?

I used to be a big believer in events, but I am starting to realize that my results may not be worth the time and cost involved.

Any thoughts???

I find my time is better spent doing one-on-ones.... I can ask and answer more questions thoroughly that way and the prospects tend to be more open when there are less people there.

The bigger opportunity events are fine to get the basic information out, but they don't really do well for the personal info

I think with group events its nice for prospects to see how everyone is excited about there business and it gives a feeling of togetherness or that they will become part of a group. On the other hand it can be difficult to make a personal connection.

With one-on-ones you are able to answer each persons questions or, sometimes more importantly, address their fears and concerns.

Maybe a combo of a one-on-one with another consultant or two involved just to share their unique stories would work well. hmmm

I prefer one-on-ones, too. I find they are more personalized and my success rate is higher.

When I do opportunity events, I try to tie them in as part of a team meeting.

I like both. I feel that bigger events give those "warm" a chance to find out more. But I also really one-one because you can get a feel for the person and really gauge where they are at and what they want.

I prefer one on ones but mostly because it gives me timet to get to know them, their goals...I can give them my undivided attention and address any questions they have. I feel like that has worked the best for me in the past.

Hello Everyone,
I Just wanted to add.
I was talking to my one girlfriend who is a cookie lee rep. about this subject that was posted.
Her response was.....
She loves doing one-on-one consultations.
Her sales are greater andmany of them end upbecoming home parties.

Best wishes to all who do try One-On-One Consultations.

Rose
