Origami Owl vs Thirty One

Im having a hard time deciding on these DS bc I like them both, any feedback you can give me?

I can not speak for thirty-one because I have never been apart of that company, but I can speak for Origami Owl. I have been a designer since January 2013 and I love the company more and more everyday.

Origami Owl has such an unique story that speaks to people, also its not only focused on selling jewelry but also connecting with people and trying to impact the world in a positive way. Yesterday, the had a meeting in Austin, Texas that I went to and The founders Chrissy and Bella found a lot of homeless people in Austin and felt that they had to do something. So all of the designers that came to the meeting brought some supplies the shelters need for the homeless people and Bella and Chrissy decided to double what everyone pulled together.

Though Origami Owl you can connect with people on a different level than just selling products. You learn the customers stories and get to know them on a personal level, which helps your business grow.

Origami Owl also has great commision and reward trips. This years reward trip is to Maui, and the incentives just started a week ago so if you join today you can still get in on the trip.

The business is easy to maintain and Origami Owl provides a lot of supplies for you to grow in your business. They even have an online business school for their designers. They want to make sure you not only grow in your business but also personally.

When you are passionate, that shines through over everything else. When you love the products, the mission and vision of the company, that seeps out of you and is compelling to those around you. Excellent advice! I was next to a 31 Consultant yesterday at an event. We got into a discussion on the reasons we joined our respective companies. And guess what? Our reasons were the same - our love of the products, our belief in the vision and mission of our company. We each had passion for what we do

I do agree that you need to go with a product you feel passionate about but depending on what you are looking to get out of your business you may also want to look at the compensation plan. I have been selling Origami Owl for almost two years and my BFF started with 31 shortly after. We both love our product and we both have fun but when it comes to money I make substantially more than she makes. She knows that and it's not important to her because her main goal is to get some grown up non-mommy time. But that is just something you may also consider when deciding which company to join.

Go with the product you connect with. You have to have a passion for your product. When you have this, you will know where you belong.

I have to agree with the responses so far. It really needs to be a product you are passionate about.

Some things I looked at when deciding:
* commission rates
* investment cost
* saturation of company in my area
* product quality
* price point for potential customers

Since Thirty-One has a jewelry line, doing both may be against policy. I was with both companies and found that Thirty-One was the right choice for me.
