Am I still hiring?

YES!

Good teachers are hard to come by in this world. I am grateful for each and every one that comes my way. Thank you for asking!

Thumbs up Legit Opp!

Hi Everyone! I've been a big lurker here for a long while; the times I have posted have been on the telecom board.

I just wanted to share that I responded to Scarlett's first posting here, and I was hired. (YAY!) I've been working, and I have been paid, so I wanted to let everyone know that it is a legit offer.

It's interesting and fun, and you meet many people with various goals.

The job is just as Scarlett describes. You meet with students on Skype and work on their conversational English skills. All of the students I have met have been very polite and fluent enough to be understood easily. I've never worked on a webcam before, but it was very easy to get used to and really helps the teaching process.

You get to set up your schedule any way you want, so it's great for us sahm's who need to schedule around the noisy, little ones!

One thing to keep in mind is that hours are not guaranteed. You are placed on the calendar and are notified of reservations. It takes a little time to build up students, but so far it has been better for me, than other "eggs" I've had in my basket!

If you're interested, contact Scarlett. She's wonderful to work with!

Grace

Default Legit

Hello People,

I am not sure how to reply when someone Skype's me about my business and would like to know if it is a legitimate business. I just had someone inquiring who was asking me for PERSONAL emails of my tutors to prove that I was legit. .... ..... .....

Of course my answer was "not a chance". Total invasion of privacy.

I CAN offer these websites to show you a little more about my business:
My calendar system
Reviews about my school my customers are in Japan... it's in Japanese but you can right click and translate.
More reviews
My You Tube Channel
Heck, just Google "Hello English.us" You'll see me everywhere.
With a little research you can find out anything.

I know that there are a lot of bogus online businesses out there and it is good to be careful, but please! I think you already know the response if you ask for personal information! Bad businesses make it hard for real ones.

Thanks for letting me rant....
Scarlett

p.s. GRACE! YOU ARE ROCKIN' ! I am so glad to have you aboard!

Default Still Hiring

Hello you guys!

Sorry it took a while to get back to you. Yes, I am still hiring. Been a little busy with all of the set up of the new teachers and applications ~ plus the earthquake in Japan has been playing havoc with our students. Like I said, I am always hiring good teachers. They are very hard to come by.

To apply, please see this page: TO APPLY I think it will answer a lot of questions that you might have and show you what is expected in the application process.
Also, here is more information about my teaching philosophy etc.
And yes! They are in English!

I want to be clear about something so you are not left hanging. If I feel that you are qualified, you will hear back from me usually within 1 day. I know that you have spent valuable time creating a video and I really appreciate your time, but I simply cannot reply to all of them. I wish I had two of me to be able to....

Thank you!
Scarlett

Hi, is there still a need for online tutors? I have 11 years teaching experience, 3 years of teaching English in China. Please let me know if there is still an opening.
Thanks. Luolan
