Default Don't give up.

Don't give up on your dreams. Network marketing is still a valid industry for those with a dream.

Yes sir. Network Marketing is not perfect, but it's better trading time for money.

I hate selling and I hate to be sold to.

Sharing is a much better way. People are more open if you share something rather then sell. This is what my company tells all of us and it makes perfect sense.

Selling is sharing!

The problem is that people don't take the time to listen to people, find out their problems, and offer a solution to said problems WITHOUT stuffing a product under their nose.

Serve first. Give value. Build relationships.

Then, and only then can you offer them your product as an even better solution to their problems. Consultative selling is the way to go too. People don't like to think they're being sold, they like to think they're making their own decisions. That's why you ask questions first, understand their needs, and IF you can help, you offer to help. Quite often I get prospects who come to me asking if what I'm offering would suit them, and very often I have to say no.

I think it may have been Stephen Covey who said it best: "Seek first to understand, then to be understood". I think it was him anyway!

All the sharing sounds good but all the big money makers are constantly closing. No one gets paid unless something is sold. Recruiters sell a dream. Sales people sell a product or service. Which one are you?

As for myself and wanting to build a strong team I want both types of people. People have to understand they are in business and their bottom line is to open up outlets (Build) and move the products or service (make sales).

Look at any high level earner in any company and tell me they don't sell anything. Sell the dream. Sell the next big event. Sell the use of tools. Sell walking across the stage... It's sales. No one gets paid unless something is sold. A.B.C. Always. Be. Closing.
