Thumbs up We all sell all the time actually

When a person on my team or a prospect tells me "they can't sell" I just respond that they just don't want it bad enough and that that's okay, just not to believe it or to have that stand in their way in the future for something that they really want.

I also ask them that if I offered them $1,000,000 to sell one shake or sell and enroll 2 people into the business opportunity could they? Of course the answer is always yes or they would die trying. (point made)

See we all sell all the time. We are born selling. As babies we learn to get what we want by crying (selling). We also learn the "numbers game". We learn that x amount of "no's" usually gain us a yes, so we keep on repeating the pattern. Unfortunately as we become adults a good percentage of the population forgets this early childhood lesson and we become leery or afraid of selling.

All corporations sell. All good CEO's sell. Anyone that has gone on an interview is selling. We sell ourselves all the time. We sell our points of view. We persuade by selling. It is a part of our lives whether we like it or not, so why not embrace it.

Selling is our birth right. It is hardwired into our genes. We do it automatically when we want something bad enough; we just can't help it. So have fun with it from this point forward and take note if anything changes.

Happy selling, Anthony

Great post. Here's another example. A parent will go full bore if their kid is selling something which is short term but will shudder when thinking about selling something if they have a long term concern like college funding.

As you say people sell all the time. Sales isn't the problem it's the mindset that's an issue.
