Exclamation Update on Zeek Rewards Closure

Zeek Rewards is being investigated.

Below is what I have learned.

Do you know anything else about it?

No criminal charges have been made.

Zeek Awards is under an administrative investigation by the North Carolina Attorney General's office.

The North Carolina Attorney Generals's office is trying to nail down Zeek Awards business model.

If the feds get involved the future of all penny auctions could be impacted.

Zeek Rewards is owned by Rex Venture Group, which operates the online penny auction site Zeekler.com as well as the affiliates program Zeek Rewards.

* It has closed its headquarters, and closed down its websites - for the time being.
* It is not allowed to take in any money until the investigation is over.

Do you think it will reopen?

I wish all those involved in Zeek Awards a good resolution to the investigation.

Here is a video by Troy Dooly giving an update about Zeek Awards.

My heart goes out to all of those involved with Zeek. I hope this is resolved quickly for them. I would be devastated if my company all of a sudden closed it's doors.

Update from The Dispatch (local newspaper)

Zeek was NOT shut down, it was a voluntary closure

Default Opt out

I am very new to zeek rewards. I just signed up last week and paid for the diamond subscription but nothing more. Even if this company comes out of this to continue the business, I would like to opt out. I have no idea who to contact and if once everything clears if the company will have that option to continue or not as an affiliate. Anyone with them for awhile know what I can do? My sponsor is pretty new too and doesn't know if or how to cancel my subscription.

If you paid with a credit card maybe you should dispute the charge. since the company is closed you are not getting what you paid for.

Regardless if Zeek comes back someday, the damage has been done and it's very unfortunate. Zeek closing has gone viral all over the net and news. I've heard of many people in Zeek moving on to new things and not "waiting" to see what happens. Because regardless if Zeek comes back, that trust and security is gone. I don't know, I just find this all sad for those in Zeek.

I was with Zeek, and I am waiting to hear an official statement from the company or secret service, sec, etc before I make any hastly decisions.

Some people feel the trust is gone, but I look at it like this. Was it really Zeeks fault? Did they do something shady to bring this on? If so then yes the trust will be lost, but if they did nothing wrong and were being looked at then no problem.

They closed voluntary, people removed their belongings from the building and employees changed the locks from the way things read. If this is the true case then it's not criminal at this time but more civil. They might be doing this to resolve things faster, instead of trying to run the business and answer these questions.

Only time will tell.

I'm with you Tommy - I can't make a decision based on 30 different stories from 50 different sources.

However, each passing moment of silence, is a little unsettling.
