I think we probably all do! I have a fan page on Facebook. I also post some about my business on my profile page - but try not to overwhelm with it there. My Facebook page is linked to my main Twitter account (@ambitenergygal) and so anything I post on my Facebook business page goes to a tweet.
I also have a second Twitter account and I use Hootsuite with that to post throughout the day. That is more for the smaller online side businesses I have going which are pretty much all either low or no cost to get started and I can see potential in them - but I don't want to mix with Ambit on my main Twitter account as Ambit is my main focus and business. So yeah - don't know what I would do without it! I have got customers and consultants from using those mentioned as well as YouTube! Theresa |

Yes, I also use social media for my business. I have a facebook fan page for my website and also a twitter account.
When it comes to using social media I think that it is important to focus in and target your contacts. So, first rule of thumb is to keep your personal and business accounts seperates. So, on my twitter account I niche twit. Only about news, events, and things focused on my niche of "travel to Atlanta". I do the same thing with my facebook. I don't post personal things on my facebook business fan page. I have found that social media helps keep you in the minds of your target market. It may not drive an immediate sale or acquisition, but when someone thinks about that subject, if you've stayed connected via social media, then they will think of you. |

My main social media outlet is Twitter. I adore it.
Not such a huge fan of FB, but I've used it, as well. ![]() I know it helps with my biz. It's a great way to network. ![]() |

I still reckon Facebook is the stuff - despite all the rumours and talks of it declining.
I get a TON of traffic and shares from Facebook alone, and my content gets syndicate off other people's pages and walls just by liking and commenting on my blog system (due to the built-in plugins and stuff). All I pretty much do is blog about something interesting, post it in the relevant GROUPS and it automatically gets syndicated - for free - but those who find my content great. In fact - not all of it is even my own content. Some of it is even borrowed content from directories. Twitter, I'm not too much of a fan of. There's so much rapid fire spamming that's machine gunned all over the place that I can't even keep up. Pinterest is something that I'm considering though I heard the guidelines and stuff are pretty strict. |

Twitter needs to be used the right way to be effective.
![]() Pinterest is pretty neat, but you have to be careful. |

I do use Social media, but I don't believe that it has helped me tremendously. It is very random and definitely not consistent, but I keep my information out there so that I can stay ahead of the game!

What do you mean about being careful with Pinterest? |

Which is weird, because they encourage you to pin other people's images! O.o The safest bet is to pin images that are yours to begin with. (Not that everyone does this, of course. Just saying that it's just a matter of time before someone gets in trouble for it.) (I have friends that are absolute whizzes with Pinterest. They've been through the TOS with a fine-toothed comb. LOL) |

I use as much social media as I can and yes its growing my business. Social media is the way to get more links to your site and links are what google loves to find your business. Its all interconnected.
I'd really recommend Google +.......as it will help you with your search results. x |
