The biggest problem I see with selling lists is that people will start deleting more of your messages without looking at them. Let me explain. When someone opts in to being a part of your list they want information from YOU. By selling the list to other people they are going to get bombarded with all kinds of different things that they want nothing to do with. Because they are getting so much email in their inboxes they automatically delete most of them and do not even read them. Yours will be one of these emails. So I personally don't suggest selling your lists, I think you are better off keeping them to yourself.

Absolutely NOT!!
I'm building community and trust for long term relationships, so I would never sell, trade, or divulge my list emails. |

Sounds like someone at eHow is better at writing articles than actually making money.
I don't know a single top-earner in network marketing who would do such a thing. Tony |

eHow is not a reputable source for learning how to do anything, in my opinion. I think anyone can write an article on anything for that website.
And I also do NOT recommend selling your list. But what you can do is if you have a newsletter or something like that to go out to your list, you can sell advertising within the newsletter. |

Yeah I would never sell my list, EVER! These people opted in to my list with trust that I would not spam/sell their information so I can't betray that trust. Plus it does me no good because to have a big list is where you can really excel with your business. If I destroy that I will lose money as well.
I just know that I would hate to have my email sold like that I so I couldn't ever do that to the people on my list. |

I hate when my info is sold to companies I didn't want to be associated with and it makes me want to end my association with the initial contact. I'd never sell my contact info to others.

If you have taken the time to build a list, then you would want to make sure you use it to generate you a profit. Selling the list may not be the best method. There are some people who do swaps and send out info to their list of others products/services where their could be a mutual benefit.

I would never sell my list. Not sure why anyone would want to buy someone else's list either? Only way I could see it working is if someone was taking over an existing business and they pretty much kept the content the same. I would rather do a joint venture.

Well, I guess the consensus is, never sell your list.
As for me, I need to start building one! ![]() |
