To be quite honest with you, I don't know anything about the US Career Institute for Legal Transcription. I have been in the legal field since 1994 and I have never had any formal training. I was just thrown into the job and it was sink or swim. I do work for court reporters, but I mainly transcribe murder trials for them. I don't do any scoping for them and could not tell you anything about it. I do have one court reporter though that wants me to take the class so I can do scoping, which we will see how that works. As far as the US Career Institute, what I would do is type in reviews for it and see what comes up. I wish I could help you more, but I have no clue. If you need anymore help, feel free to message me.
Hi there, I have been reading a lot of your posts and am currently looking into US Career Institute for Legal Transcription. I was wondering if you think that the training they offer, which includes steno, would also allow me to do scoping work in addition to transcription?
Also, I know that you do work for Court Reporters on the side and was just wondering what exactly do you do for them? Scoping work?
I appreciate all of your posts, as they have been very helpful to me in my decision making process.
I have read some of your posts and know you work for Sten-Tel. I have tested with them and they have replied back that I will be accepted once the hiring freeze is over. Just wanted to know what you think of the company. Do you know anything about the hiring freeze?
