There were a few blips about the new tax law in the beginning but the truth is there is so much more than Amazon out there where you can make big money as an affiliate marketer. It stung a few people but MOST affiliate marketers have their marketing efforts spread out a bit. We've seen too many big names come and go over the years and by comparison Amazon really isn't as profitable as some of the other opportunities.
I have heard though this is unconfirmed that Overstock has dropped affiliates in New York as well. To the best of my knowledge those are the only two big companies that have decided to do that. Which lives Commission Junction, ClickBank, LinkShare, and PepperJam, and so many more.
On September 15 they are rolling out a new and improved (not that it needs much improving now) Wealthy Affiliate Platinum. Now is a great time to dive in.
I noticed you have a link to Wealthy Affiliate in your signature. I'm interested in getting involved in marketing but am a little hesitant because of the new tax laws. Have you noticed a lot of complaints at Wealthy Affiliate due to the (Amazon) tax law? Do you know if it's only the larger companies that are dropping affiliates based on where they live?
