Default Online Party on Facebook?

Has anyone done this? I thought about creating an event for this. I this allowed? I looked to see if there were any online parties for this but only found the Jewelry Candle online parties not Jewelry In Candles.

I'm not on FB so I am afraid I can't help with that. I also have never done an online party but it's something I'd like to try at some point.

I did a Facebook event - invite only and invited all of my friends and family. I set it up for 2 week advance notice and it's currently running for 2 weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to set one up. I'll post afterwards how well it goes.

I didn't actually hold a party with my event. I held a Introducing your to JIC event. I told about the candles...the surprises and more.

Had alot of interest off of that event. Sometimes its better not to try to sell the item...but to sell what the item is about

Denise, I set up an event on Facebook and invited 150 of my friends and made it public that way anyone could see it.

Then I set the date and gave my website in case someone wanted to order (some did) and gave a 20% off code for those who wanted to order.

Then I proceeded to tell how the how the candles were made of 100% soy and and lead free wicks and the scents we had and about how many oz they were...then told about the tarts about how big they are compared to others. Showed reveal pictures.

Just things that I hoped would hold their interest.
