Default Anyone use advertising for recruiting?

I'm considering doing this to drum up some new leads. Wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences they'd like to share. Thanks!

I've used ads in the local freebie papers before (not with Jamberry - with another company [that closed, unfortunately]) with a lot of good results.

The ads were only a few dollars a week, and I averaged about 10 calls a week from them. I advertised offering product samples and the biz op.

Edited to add: The local freebie paper charges $12 for 6 weeks for a classified ad.
