Sip and Paint Parties ??
Good Morning Everyone,
I am opening my Creative Studio and have the opportunity to get an alcohol license for my business. The only problem is that my state (LA) will prohibit anyone under the age of 18 to enter the facility. In my state we will be classified as a bar, the only other option was to be classified as a restaurant (which is too costly). This will prevent me for hosting kids art party on site. I am asking for feedback here to see if you will attend a BYOB (bring your own beverage) sip and paint party or would you prefer to attend a paint and sip party that included a Wine Bar at the Studio. I would attend a BYOB paint and sip party and I know my friends would too. Good luck with your new business.

We have a Painting with a Twist where I live and it's a huge hit with everyone to bring their own alcohol and snacks!

Girl you better do you thang. Let me tell you, here in Chicago, sip and paints (BYOB) is what's hot right now. I need you to get all over that. When there is a will there is a way. I'm sure you will figure it out.

Paint & Sip parties are huge where I am! I wonder if you could continue to get your license and only serve alcohol on certain nights if that would make a difference? I'm not sure on all the laws about that, but may be worth a try? We have a winery that hosts those kind of parties, and I'm pretty sure kids are allowed in with an adult for different events.
